Age 68. B.Sc., M.Sc. He has 46 years industry experience in Australia, Papua New Guinea, U.S.A., Indonesia, Thailand and other countries. He was formerly General Manager of Esso Papua New Guinea Inc. where he was based in Lae, Papua New Guinea for 6 years. Before this assignment he resided in the U.S.A. for 5 years and prior to that worked for several major and minor companies mainly in Australia. He has been associated with the discovery of several orebodies, specifically the Juno and Warrego orebodies at Tennant Creek by Peko in the 1960's. Robert McNeil is Chairman of Frontier Resources Ltd (ASX), Chairman, CEO and President of New Guinea Gold Corporation, a Yukon company listed on the TSX Venture Exchange (Canada), non-executive Chairman and Director of Coppermoly Ltd (ASX) and non-executive Chairman and Director of Golden Tiger NL. He has not held any former Directorships within the last 3 years.



Dennis M. O'NeilDenis M. O'Neill
Executive Director, formerly Managing Director for 3 years, formerly Executive Director for 10 years.

Age 57. He has 35 years industry experience including 7 years directing exploration projects in Italy, Ireland and the United Arab Emirates for Noranda Mines Ltd, and 4 years as Chief Geologist for the Delta Gold group of companies in Australia. He was associated with the discovery of the ‘Reward' and ‘Highway' orebodies, Charters Towers whilst working with City Resources and Barrack Mines in the late 1980's. He is a graduate of the University of NSW (B.App.Sc). Denis O'Neill is also a Director of Malachite Resources NL. He has not held any former Directorships within the last 3 years.






Dr Garry G. LowderGarry G. Lowder
Director for 4 years.

Age 63. He has 42 years of professional experience, including senior positions in the mining industry and in government, and has worked widely in Australia, as well as in Indonesia and Papua New Guinea. He was Director General of the NSW Department of Mineral Resources from 1993 to 1997 and has been Managing Director of Malachite Resources since leaving that position. His exploration expertise covers a wide variety of geological setting and deposit types, and he has played a key role in the discovery of several major ore deposits, including Northparkes (copper-gold) and Lake Cowal (gold) in New South Wales, and Paddington (gold) and Wodgina (tantalum) in Western Australia.

Since early 1997 he has also been a Director of Straits Resources Limited, a listed Australian mining company involved in coal mining and gold mining in Indonesia, and copper mining in WA and NSW. He was Chairman of Straits from 1997 until the company moved its headquarters to Perth in late 2000. He has not held any former Directorships withing the last 3 years.

Dr Lowder is a graduate of the University of Sydney (B.Sc. Hons 1), the University of California at Berkeley (Ph.D) and the Advanced Management Program at the Harvard Business School. He brings to the Company high level management expertise and a track record of prior exploration success.

 

Peter A. McNeilPeter A. McNeil
Non Executive Director for 12 years..

Age 46. B.Sc., M.Sc. He has over 20 years exploration experience in Papua New Guinea, U.S.A. and Australia, including programs at the Lihir gold deposit and in the Goldfields and Kimberley regions of Western Australia and Tasmania. He has been associated with the discovery of a number of orebodies including Nimary and Sunrise Dam in Western Australia. Peter McNeil is also Managing Director of Frontier Resources Ltd (ASX), non-executive director of New Guinea Gold Corporation (TSX-Venture) and a non-executive Director of Coppermoly Ltd (ASX). He also held former Directorships within the last 3 years in Vangold Resources Ltd and South Pacific Minerals Corp (both TSX-Venture).




Ed NewmanEdgar G. Newman
Director since 1 December 2005, previously Alternate Director for R.D. McNeil for 18 months and Project Manager for 12 years.

Age 55. Mr Newman has been instrumental in developing the silver processing route for the Twin Hills Silver Mine. He has over 31 years experience in the mining and exploration industry. From 1968 to 1982 he held positions as chemist and manager of Labtech Pty Ltd, analytical services laboratory. Since 1982, he has been involved in feasibility studies, design, construction and commissioning of several mining and processing operations in Australia and Papua New Guinea.

Mr Newman has extensive metallurgical experience and has designed and supervised metallurgical investigations on projects in Australia, Papua New Guinea, USA, Mexico and Dominican Republic.

He has held no former Directorships in the last 3 years.


Peter A. McNeilGarry Edwards
CEO and Company Secretary for 11 years.

Mr Edwards holds a Master of Business Administration and is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and National Institute of Accountants (Australia).

Prior to joining Macmin, Mr Edwards spent 15 years working in Papua New Guinea, the last 11 for KPMG and antecedent firms. From 1987 to 1995 he managed KPMG's Arawa and Rabaul offices. Mr Edwards is also Company Secretary for Coppermoly Ltd (ASX).
